Analysis

The ST3 is Stromer's most powerful and smartest speed pedelec, designed for demanding commuters: the SYNO Drive II rear-hub motor with 44Nm of torque accelerates up to 45km/h, and the integrated 983Wh battery gives a range up to 150, expandable to 180km. Charging takes roughly 5.5 hours.

A specially developed upside-down front fork boosts comfort, while extensive connectivity (Smartlock, triple anti-theft protection, over-the-air updates and GPS localisation) and optional ABS make this one of the most advanced e-bikes in the comparison. At roughly 26kg, the ST3 is relatively light for a speed pedelec with such a large battery.

Note: as a speed pedelec (up to 45km/h), registration, helmet and insurance are mandatory in the Netherlands. Reference model with no affiliate link; price and specs from stromerbike.com (captured August 2026).
