Analysis

The ST1 is Stromer's entry-level speed pedelec: a CYRO Drive 2 rear-hub motor rated at 670W with 35Nm of torque gets you to 45km/h within seconds. The standard 618Wh battery is upgradeable to 814Wh or 983Wh for extra range.

Tektro disc brakes provide strong stopping power at these higher speeds, and a 600-lumen headlight, brake light, license-plate light and horn make it fully equipped and road-legal. Available in Sport and Comfort (lowstep) frames.

Note: as a speed pedelec (up to 45km/h), registration, helmet and insurance are mandatory in the Netherlands. Reference model with no affiliate link; price (Sport trim) and specs from stromerbike.com (captured August 2026).

Pros

  • Fast: up to 45km/h pedal assist
  • Upgradeable battery up to 983Wh
  • Fully road-equipped (lighting, horn, brake light)

Cons

  • Registration, helmet and insurance mandatory in the Netherlands
  • Pricier than a regular e-bike (up to 25km/h)
  • No affiliate link: only through the Stromer dealer network

Ideal for: Commuters wanting to cover long distances quickly, considering a speed pedelec.
