Analysis
The FF20 Polar has a dual-battery system (2 x 48V 12Ah), usable separately or together, which with an integrated equalizer extends lifespan and gives up to 150 km of range in assisted mode. The hub motor delivers up to 65Nm of torque for grip on thick 20 x 4.0 inch tyres, suited to snow, sand, mud and unpaved roads.
What's notable about this model is its European L1e-B type approval: the manufacturer provides the right documents to register and insure the bike, after which use on public roads is permitted. This points to the bike possibly not counting as a regular pedelec and needing additional Dutch registration and insurance requirements; check this before buying.
The quick-folding, low step-through frame and the 40mm sprung front fork with oil damping and an adjustment knob provide comfort. With 1 review (5 out of 5), review volume is still limited.
Pros
- Dual-battery system (roughly 998Wh) with up to 150 km of range
