Analysis
The CarbonM is Fafrees' premium flagship: a seamless carbon-fibre frame combining light weight with stiffness and damping, driven by a mid-drive motor with an impressive 95Nm of torque. The 48V 22.5Ah (1080Wh) battery with Samsung 21700 cells gives up to 100 km of range.
Thick 26 x 4.8 inch tyres provide grip on any terrain, and hydraulic suspension (60mm travel with lockout) plus dual hydraulic brakes with 180mm pads give control and short stopping distance. The 9-speed Shimano shifting system and the LCD screen with a USB port round it out.
At €3,499 this is by far the most expensive bike in the whole comparison, aimed at riders who want the best materials without compromise.
